Dr. Cockroach And The
Flying Car |
|
Cade, 8, New Mexico,
USA |
| The
moral of my fable is: A failure can turn
into a big success. |
| My
fable is: One day there was
a cockroach that was a mad scientist. He was
trying to make a flying car but whatever he did he got zapped or shot by
oil.
After much work he
gave up.
A couple of days later his friend Bob
asked if they could go to the lab and he said, “OK.”
Bob asked, “What’s that?”.
Then something started to spark. “Lets go try it out”,
said Bob.
“That’s not such a good idea”,
said his scientist friend the Dr. Cockroach. Bob flew all around
the lab. Dr. Cockroach took hold of the wheel
and flew out of the garage and said, “I’m the first one to make a flying
car”.
He learned that
a failure could be turned
into a big success. |

she was happy it was with her best friends. But when Aburey wasn't
looking while she ran off to tell her dad
about the big news, Amber took the cat fish and threw it back into a
DIFFERENT pond that was near.
Leah told
her that wasn't such a good idea and said maybe you should tell her the
truth about what you did. And that
she did it on purpose.
Amber didn't listen.
When Aburey came back she was sad and
cried her eyes out.
Amber lied about what she did. But
Leah told the truth to Aburey once Amber left.

Tucson, Arizona |
| The
moral of my fable is: Slow and steady
wins the race. |
| My
fable is: Once a hare met a
tortoise. He laughed at the tortoise for his slow speed.
The tortoise was angry at
being laughed at. He challenged the hare to
run a race. The hare was surprised at the proposal. He thought that the

They fixed the starting place. A post
at a distance was the goal. The race started.
The hare was ahead of the tortoise. He
took a nap thinking he
would wake up soon and reach the goal post.
In the meantime, the tortoise went on
slowly but steadily towards the goal. He continued walking.
When the tortoise
came near the goal, the hare got up and ran very fast. But he could not
overtake the tortoise.
