The Cheetah & The Hyena's Troubles |
|
Darcy, 10,
England, UK |
| The
moral of my fable is: It is wise to
worry about tomorrow today. |
My fable is:
Once there was a large field that had
a family of Cheetah's and some Hyenas living there. The Cheetah was very
wise & thought that the Hyena should listen.
The Hyena thought he knows best.
The Hyena's brother
wasn't well. He had a fatal disease.
The Hyena wasn't caring for him. "He really
needs to start thinking about his brother", thought the Cheetah.
Keeping an eye on the Hyena, the
Cheetah tried to set an example by caring for his own
family. But the Hyena still wasn't
listening.
"Why are you caring for your
family?!!", said the Hyena. "Because I care!!",
said the Cheetah.
Over the next few days the Hyena still
still didn't listen to the Cheetah.
"Care for him!! He
could get even more seriously ill you know!",
said the Cheetah.
"GO AWAY!!!" said the Hyena.
The Hyena's brother suddenly got even more ill.
The Cheetah got even more worried. The Hyena didn't. "Your brother could
die you know!!", said the Cheetah.
"You are joking
with me?!!!" "NO!!!!!" The Hyena suddenly
realized that his brother had a serious problem and helped
his brother.
He had learned
his lesson. "Thanks for telling me, Cheetah", said the Hyena.
"You're welcome.
But next time I won't help you. You will have
to help yourself and your family now that you have learned your lesson". |

The Ugly Dachshund |
|
Jace, 9, Texas |
| The
moral of my fable is: Everyone is born with equal
opportunities, no matter size, shape, color or gender,
but we need demonstrate goodness to gain friends. |
My fable is:
One morning a
mixed-breed dachshund woke up and began getting ready for school.
His name was Kimbeau. He was picked on a
lot at school.
The main bully was
named Sammy. She thought she was better
than Kimbeau because she was a pure-bred
Siberian Husky.
You see, Sammy was a big, strong,
beautiful, black and white Husky with ice blue eyes. Kimbeau on the
other hand was a little, scrawny pup with gray spots in his fur.
One day, Kimbeau was enjoying his bone
at lunch. Sammy decided to push Kimbeau down
and take his bone. All the of the other pups pointed and laughed at
Kimbeau. "Maybe if you were a pure bred like me, I wouldn't beat you up
all the time!", said Sammy.
"One day you will need my help
but I won't be there for you",
said Kimbeau.
The very next day, Sammy was taking a
shortcut to school when her collar got snagged on a barbed
wire fence. "Help me! Help me please!",
shouted Sammy. Luckily for her, Kimbeau took
the same shortcut to school and saw her. "I'll get you loose Sammy!"
After a few minutes, Kimbeau freed
Sammy. "Thank you sooo much Kimbeau!" She apologized for everything mean
she ever done to Kimbeau and became his best friend. |

My fable is:

One day they were playing in the park
and they saw a ball. They both wanted that red ball and they both ran to
get it.
Then they started fighting over it.

The Foxes Eight Eggs |
|
Tiffany,
12, Colorado |
| The
moral of my fable is: Don't count your chickens before they are
hatched. |
My fable is:
There once lived a sneaky fox who
loved to watch hens scatter. So he
often was mean and
scattered them.
One day the hens were so scared
that they stayed indoors. The fox was disappointed. So he snuck
in the hen house and took eight eggs so that
when they hatched he could scatter the chicks.
He waited until
three eggs hatched and he scattered the
three chicks.
He came back to the other eggs and
waited but they didn't hatch. They were just
ordinary eggs. So he didn't get to scatter any
more. |
