The Grinch |
|
Haley, 8, West
Virginia |
| The
moral of my fable is: Don't judge a book
by its cover. |
| My
fable is:
Once
upon a time there was a Grinch and he lived on the top of a high hill.
Some kids were dared to climb that hill.
That day they climbed straight to the top but
when they were up there they saw a big building that looked haunted.
Sally Lou was dared to knock on the
door and then the Grinch screamed
booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo and all the children ran and
yelled MONSTER!
Sally Lou kept wondering why that
thing screamed at her.
One
day Sally Lou went back to the top of the hill again and asked
the Grinch, "Who are
you and why did you scream at me?"
He
said, "I am the
Grinch and I hate people".
They
kept talking and finally Sally Lou said,
"Do you want a friend?"
When
the Grinch was about to say no he stopped himself and thought for a
minute. Then he replied,
"Yes". |

|
Brooke, 13, Georgia |
| The
moral of my fable is: Don't judge a book
by its cover. |
| My
fable is: Once there was a
pig who was new in town. He didn't have any friends yet, so everyone
assumed he was weird.
Then one day a goat came up to him and
started talking to him. The pig and goat became best friends.
Then everyone assumed that the goat
was weird too. Everyone else always picked on them.
Then finally someone said,
"We need to give them a chance before we judge them".
So everyone started to get to know them and it turned
out everyone actually liked them and wanted to be friends. |

So
from then on she helped people who were sad because it made her feel
