It Is Difficult To Please Everybody
Riaz, 26, Pakistan
The moral of my fable is:  You can't please every one.
My fable is:

Once an old man and his son went to the market to sell their donkey.

First, the son rode the animal and his old father waked beside it. A woman saw them and remarked, "Look at the rude boy. He is riding but his old father is walking".

The Son took that remark seriously and got down. The father got on the donkey. In the meanwhile, a man passed near by and seeing them said, "Look at the cruel father. He is riding while his son is on foot".

Hearing this both the old man and his father got on the donkey. It was hardly before they had covered a few more steps that some body criticized, "Look at the heartless people. They'll kill the animal under the weight".

At this remark, they were surprised and felt that people would not spare them in any way. They got down and started walking along with the donkey thinking that people would not be able to say anything.

But this decision also proved futile because a girl seeing them remarked, "How foolish they are! They have a donkey to ride on but are walking on foot".

This remark really made them upset. They were at a loss to think anything sensible.

So, in confusion and hurry, they tied the animal's legs and slung it on their shoulders with the help of a strong pole. "How stupid they are!", cried everyone.
