The moral of my fable is:  You can't please everyone.

My fable is:

Once upon a time there was a tiger that had been chasing a baby crane. While he was running the tiger slipped in a mud puddle and into a lake. "OH NO", cried the tiger. How will I eat if I am drowning in a lake?

While he was squirming in the water the baby crane ran away.

The tiger was so scared and cowardly that he roared, "HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

While he roared a beautiful crane ran to the lake and said, "Well I can't believe a tiger is crying". The crane said, "What do you need me to help you with?"

"I would like you to get me out of this lake", said the tiger.

Then the tiger thought that if the crane got him out of the lake, he could eat the crane.

The crane said, "NO! I don't help wild animals like you!"

"WHY?", asked the tiger. "I've been fooled by a tiger before", said crane. So the crane left and the tiger drowned in the lake.

The Chipmunk And The Elephant
Sarah, 10, Middlesbrough
The moral of my fable isIf you play a trick, a smart mind will get you back.

My fable is:

Chipmunk and Elephant were good friends. So, as friends do, Elephant invited Chipmunk round for dinner. He was ecstatic! "Of course!", exclaimed Chipmunk.

When he later arrived at Elephant's home, he was hungry and exhausted. He came in and Elephant saw him. "Welcome", he said. Chipmunk smelled nuts and then he saw two enormous pots with nuts in each. Judging by the large size of the pots, he realized he had been tricked.

He went home. Thankfully, because of his intelligence, Chipmunk invited the Elephant round for dinner. He had a plan.

Elephant wondered why he had been invited after playing a trick on Chipmunk.

Anyway, he arrived later. There was no sign of Chipmunk. Eventually, he saw a small hole in the ground. Chipmunk popped out. "Oh you will probably not be able to get your trunk in here. Never mind I will eat your share."

Elephant knew what had happened and went home as hungry as he was when he arrived.
