The Dog And The Cat
Randy, 7, California
The moral of my fable is:  Do something you really need to do.
My fable is:

One day a dog named Tom and a cat named Kelly were in a forest. It was snowing. They were getting cold and at the same time they said, "I am hungry".

So they went searching for food. After what seemed like a long time, they finally found some food.

Then they rushed to get the food but when they got there a big lion was in front of the food.

They made the lion dizzy so that he would run away.

They ate all of the food. "Yum", said the dog. "I like the food", said the cat. When they finished all of their food they had a happy day.

He thought the cat took it but the cat had nothing to do with it.

The dog said, "Why did you take my food bowl". And the cat said, "I had nothing to do with it".

But the dog did not listen. They ended up not being friends ever again.

They went for a ride and the turtle wanted to do a no-hander. When he tried, he fell off. He was badly hurt.

Princess Jasmine And The Evil Old Hag
 Libin, 9, England
The moral of my fable is Don't do nasty stuff to people even if they are new in your school.
My fable is:

Once upon a time in a land not far away, the lived an old queen and a beautiful young princess called Jasmine. Most of the time she would spend her time putting make-up on.

One sunny day the queen got terribly sick. She asked princess Jasmine to get a shiny apple to make her feel better. Princess Jasmine listened sadly. When she went into the forest, she found a big, shiny apple. Later on, when she took it to the queen, there was an old hag who said, "ABRACADABRA ABRACADULL. MAKE THE PRINCESS UNDER MY CONTROL".

WOOSH! and just in a flash the princess came under the old hag's control.

In the kingdom the queen asked what was taking the princess so long.

A while later, the queen went to the mirror and sickly said, "Fairy, fairy on the wall, make me better after all". The fairy came and made the queen well again.

The fairy knew what was happening so she went out to search. Finally, after much searching, she found the old hag and turned her into dust.

Happily the old hag's spell did not last on the princess forever. They all lived happily ever after.

Monkey And Friends
Abigail, 9, Connecticut
The moral of my fable is:  Treat others the way you want to be treated.
My fable is:

One day there was a monkey whose name was Frank. Frank was very nice to his friends but one day he stared to act a little bossy.

The next day he was worse. He was telling everyone what to do. So his friends were not talking to him. They were totally ignoring Frank.

Frank was thinking about what he did.

So he talked to his friends and said..."I'm so sorry about what I did. I hope we can still be friends". All of Frank's friends huddled. They laughed and said, "Why not?". So Frank was never mean again.

The Wolf And The Rabbit
Olivia, 7, South Carolina
The moral of my fable isThink before you act!
My fable is:

One day a rabbit bounced through the forest. A brown wolf jumped out of nowhere and started chasing the rabbit.

The rabbit hopped faster. "Oh no! He's trying to eat me", the rabbit thought.

Suddenly the wolf stopped in his tracks. "Do you want to come over to my house for dinner", the wolf asked. "Sure", said the rabbit, not thinking that the wolf wanted to trick him. (The wolf was a trickster.)

When the wolf and the rabbit got to the wolf's house, the wolf asked the rabbit to check on the oven. When he did, the wolf shoved the rabbit in and ate him for dinner.
