The Rabbit's Mistake
Scott. 9, Singapore
The moral of my fable is Sometimes, ugly peoples are good and pretty people are evil.

My fable is:

There was a rabbit who did not like learning. He said: "I just need to see their looks and I will know if they are good or evil."

One day, the rabbit saw an ugly monkey. He ran away from the monkey because he thought the monkey was evil.

Then, he saw a fox and went to meet him. He did that because his look was good and the rabbit thought he was good.

Suddenly, the fox pounced on him and tied him up. The rabbit wished that he hadn't gone to meet the fox.

Share Your Bananas
Kaitlyn, 8, North Carolina
The moral of my fable is:  It is usually good to share.

My fable is:

Once there were two monkeys that were playing outside. They began to get hungry so Ali went inside to get two bananas. She found only ONE!!!!!!!

She was really hungry so she began to eat the banana but before she could Peter came inside & saw her. Then he said, "Can I have a piece?."

Ali slipped on the banana peel off and accidentally threw it at Peter.

Ali ran to a near by pond but it was very dangerous because the monkey family thought that there was a monster around there.

Ali and Peter didn't believe that there was a monster around there. "If you jump in that old nasty pond, I'll give it to you", Ali said.

"OK", said Peter.

So he jumped into the pond. Then Ali ran to the forest but Peter caught up with her. Then their little sister Darsy swung from a vine and snatched the banana.

The Encouragement
Ivene Dhyl, 11, Philippines
The moral of my fable is:  You can do whatever you set your mind to. Just don't let others make you believe you can't.

My fable is:

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods. Two of them fell into a deep pit.

All the other frogs gathered around the pit. When they saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead.

The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump out of the pit with all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop. They told them that they were good as dead.

But as they tried, the other frog told himself, "Oh well, I give up." Then he gave up and died.

But on the other hand, the other frog kept trying until he came out of the pit.

The other frogs asked him if he had heard them. He said, "I thought you were cheering for me all the time."

She went to catch it. Luckily she did.

Delphi asked the parrot, "Do you live in America and do you know Lulu?" The parrot lied and said yes to both questions.

Delphi dropped the parrot because Delphi knew that Lulu lived in Spain and no one ever talked to her.
