|
Amy, 10, England |
| The
moral of my fable is: Listen to people
even if it do not sound true. |
| My
fable is:
On Sammy lane
there was a candy shop. No one went near it. I
said to my friend one day, they say if you go
in and eat one sweet, you never come out.
Some say
the lady poisons you,
others say she gives you so many sweets and
you just blow up.
But I say
if you go in and you fall
to the ground, she locks you in the
seller.
My friend said that
is not going to happen.
I have got some money and I need to
spend it on sweets for a sleepover, so come
on.
No thanks I will
stay here.
Fine, I will
go by my self. The next day
I went to my friend's house.
When they opened the door they asked me if I
had seen her because she did not come home last night. |

BANG they were off
in the shot of a gun. The Hare sped away in a
flash. But soon he felt sleepy. Then he fell
asleep.
Then the Tortoise came plodding along.
And he tip-toed past
the Hare ( tip toe tip toe tip toe).
Then
the Hare awoke and saw the

|
Chantelle and
Dean, 10, England |
| The
moral of my fable is: Slow and steady
wins the race; fast and boastful loses a race. |
| My
fable is:
One hot, sunny day
there was a lion racing round the street and a worm came out from the
ground to see what the loud noise was.
He asked the lion what he was doing
and he told him he was looking for someone to race with. The worm said
I'll race with you tomorrow afternoon".
"Ah
ha, you'll never beat me",
called the lion. The next day was the race.
They both were warming up and the worm
said to the lion, "Good
luck", and the lion said back to the worm,
"Good luck. You're
going to need it".
And the race began.
With one loud bang off they went. The
lion ran and ran until he was out of breath. The worm was still going
and suddenly came across the lion sleeping and so he
ran until he couldn't ran a minute more.
But then he noticed that he was so
close to the end and that the lion was coming quick, so he took a deep
breath and ran really fast.
He came to the end and he was cheered

The Tortoise And The Hare |
|
Jodie, 9, England |
| The
moral of my fable is: Slow and steady is
bound to win the race. |
| My
fable is:
The tortoise was talking to everyone about
how good he was at racing. The hare came passing by
and heard he was boasting. The tortoise was always able to boast about
something. So he thought he might as well hear what he had to say this
time.
He went toward him and he heard
everything about how good he was at racing. He wanted to see how fast he
was so he asked for a challenge.
The tortoise started to be cocky. He
accepted the challenge.
The next day he was all excited about
beating the hare by a mile. Then the time came
for the tortoise and the hare to race.
It was the biggest race in history.
They all shouted at tortoise.
The hare did not feel very confident
in himself. Then the whistle went off and they
started to race.
The tortoise was winning by a mile so
he started being cocky and he went for a little nap.
The tortoise let the hare go past him
because he knew he was going to catch up.
But he did not know that the winning
position was about a centimeter away. And then the
hare had won. |

his bone.
The puppy
lived near a river. He took a walk to the
river the puppy looked into the water and thought he saw another
