|
Shelby, 10, South
Carolina |
| The
moral of my fable is: Lies can get
bigger and bigger. Just don't
start telling them. |
| My
fable is:
Once there was a Cheetah and one day he
forgot his math book at home.
When Mrs. Owl asked if
all students had their
books, Cheetah said "No." Mrs. Owl asked why.
"Well, my sister ate all the paper out of it
and my mother can't pay for another one." He
lied.
"And why can't she pay for it son?",
Mrs. Owl questioned.
"Well, our
tree house was looking lame so she just bought
new furniture last weekend.", he explained.
During recess Mrs. Owl called
Cheetah's mother. At lunch time Cheetah's mother brought Cheetah's math
book.
She was very disappointed in Cheetah.
"I'm sorry I lied and I won't do it again", he
apologized."

The Mustang and the Mule |
|
Nicole, 10, South
Carolina |
| The
moral of my fable is: Just because your
bigger then something or someone, it doesn't
mean you truly are. |
| My
fable is:
One sunny day, a wild mustang named Kota was
grazing with his heard in the Lands Of The Great, when he spotted a
scrawny little mule in his territory.
Kota wanted him out immediately, so he
thought to himself, "Hmmm. If I give the mule
a challenge, well, obviously I will win with my strong body and fast
legs. And when I win,
he will have to get out of my territory."
So the
mustang asked for a race with the mule.
The very next day the mule and mustang
met in a forest packed with huge trees. In the
blink of an eye, they were off!
But only a few minutes into the race,
the mustang bumped into a tree and lost. The
mule was zigzagging through those trees like they
were nothing at all!
And the mule won. He and everybody
else was very proud. No one thought of him as
just a scrawny little fellow again. |

halfway.
